Home of the famous Del Mar National Horse Show.
The Del Mar Arena is a 100,290-square-foot building that was enclosed by a new roof in April 2009. The Arena can host a wide variety of events, including sports events such as horse shows and soccer matches, as well as concerts and trade shows.
It has grandstand seating on its east and west sides, and elevated concrete stage platforms at its north and south ends. A glass-fronted skybox dining room sits above the East Grandstand. Adjacent to the covered arena are two smaller open arenas.
The Arena is home to the three-week Del Mar National Horse Show in April, and will be the home of the San Diego Sockers, beginning with the team's 2009-10 season. The Arena has no interior pillars, which means there are no blocked views from any of the seats. This 230-acre, state-of-the-art facility officially opened in January of 2007 and boasts more than $20 million in improvements over the former location in Indio, including stabling for
more than 3,400 horses and 14 competition rings, featuring a covered ring for all FEI World Cup Qualifiers offered at Thermal. HITS Post Time Farm 13710 NW HWY 27 Ocala, FL Post Time Farm was originally built as a training center for thoroughbred racehorses. The facility is professionally landscaped and features gated entrances, 52 miles of four-board fencing, 24 permanent barns that house 560 stalls, numerous paddocks, bridle paths and additional buildings for the horse show office and restaurant. There's also an on-site school–The Education Station–where young riders can follow along with their school curriculum while they compete on the road.
In 2007, HITS completed a renovation project that added two new rings to the facility–a new Grand Prix ring and a new Main Hunter ring–increasing the total ring count to 12. Classes offered range from the Grand Prix show jumping classes to a selection of divisions for both the novice and experienced rider. In 2009, the HITS Ocala winter Circuit was expanded to eight weeks of competition with the addition of a sixth week of AA-rated competition. The expanded Circuit features 14 Grand Prix events – all qualifiers for the Pfizer Million – worth a total of $575,000 in prize money, which includes the $100,000 DeLuca Toyota Tundra Grand Prix,presented by Great American Insurance Group to close out the circuit during the HITS Ocala Winter Celebration. The Pennsylvania Farm Show Complex and Exhibition Center 2300 North Cameron Street Harrisburg, PA (717) 770-0222 The Pennsylvania National Horse Show has been held at The Farm Show Complex, in Harrisburg, PA throughout its 66-year history. In 1997, the site included 60 acres of parking and nearly 14 acres of exhibition space. In 2001, work began on a $76 million dollar expansion which enlarged the space under roof to 24 acres and added the new 134'x250' exercise ring. The Pennsylvania National Horse Show enhances the facility by installing stabling, the inside schooling arena and vendor spaces. All the competition is held in the main arena (120' x 240') allowing the entire show to be under one roof.
