Jan Pamela sneaks past Flat Out, 10-9
PALM BEACH, FL- International Polo Club -
A balanced Jan Pamela attack that had every member of the team scoring multiple goals snuck past a determined Flat Out polo team to score a 10-9 win in the 2012 Freebooters Classic at the International Polo Club Saturday morning.
Flat Out received one goal by handicap from the 14-goal Jan Pamela team and wasted little time in adding to it. A goal from the field from Todd Offen had Flat Out on top of an early 2-0 lead before Jan Pamela cold respond. Goals from Carlitos Galindo and Hector Galindo, however, tied it up at 2-2 by the end of the opening chukker.
Jan Pamela team captain Wayne Garrison added two more goals in the second frame Steve Dalton added another goal on a penalty shot for a 5-3 lead. Flat Out managed a single goal on a penalty conversion from Robert Orthwein. More info...

Walsh and Ferragamo lead top international polo players in charity match
PALM BEACH, FL- International Polo Club -
Although the Outback 40-goal Challenge might have taken the lion’s share of the polo publicity in the Palm Beach area, the Windsor Charity Polo Tournament at Windsor in Vero Beach had its share of celebrities and international polo stars.
The Charity Polo Cup at Windsor resulted from the discussions a number of friends who live at Windsor and their desire to raise funds for some very worthwhile local and national charitable organizations. And so, with the support of several polo aficionados, The Charity Polo Cup at Windsor was born.
The sold-out event to benefit national and local charities was co-chaired by Windsor, Florida’s co-founder, The Honorable Hilary M. Weston and Vero Beach’s John Walsh, host of America’s Most Wanted. More info...

Equus & Company scores an 11-10 win in the 11th Annual Outback 40-Goal Challenge
Wellington, FL
The gathering of every one of the world’s 10-goal players signaled the return of the Annual Outback 40-goal Challenge Cup at the International Polo Club in Wellington before an enthusiastic assemblage. Following the induction of former 10-goaler Carlos Gracida into the Polo Hall of Fame the previous evening, the crowd boasted polo VIPS, past and present, from across the country and around the world.
Ambassador Holden and wife Gloria flew in from Santa Barbara, as did Pat Nesbitt and wife Ursula. Jackson Hole’s Paul Von Gontard was present as well. Dr. Madison Richardson made his way back to Florida from Beverly Hills while Retama’s Steve and Marty Gose found their way here from Montana, and son Tom Gose managed to join them from his ranch in Texas as well. Midland’s Craig and Roni Duke blended into a crowd that boasted USPA secretary Joe Meyer and wife Susan and Museum of Polo Director George Dupont and wife Brenda. Argentina’s former 10-goal star, Danielle Gonzalez was on hand as well as he recalled the very first 40-goal contest that took place at NOT Mar de Plata in Argentina in 1975. More info...
